L'OREAL COLOR RICHE 507

If you're a regular reader of my blog, you'll know how much I love these nail polishes from L'oreal.  I picked this shade up a couple of weeks ago after seeing it in Boots and couldn't keep my eyes off it.  The shade is '507 Riviera Lavender' and is the most perfect shade for the upcoming spring season.  It looks perfect with a tan and just totally brightens up your nails, like the other shades I have it doesn't chip for days which is the main reason I keep buying these because they last longer than other polishes.
Isn't that shade just gorgeous??

Have you tried any of these polishes from the L'oreal color riche range??

FAVE FOOT CREAMS

It's very rare that I give my feet some TLC mainly because I can never be bothered to do a full body pamper unless I'm in the mood or pampering for a big event (which is rare).  When I do decide to do some pampering on my feet I switch between these two foot creams as they work wonders and both leave the skin on my feet incredibly soft and smooth...

First up we have L'Occitane dry skin foot cream which I bought in Vegas last year, it cost pennies!  (well a couple of dollars).  It's recommended that you apply this after a shower/bath but I apply before bed, I rub one layer all over my feet and soles then pop on some cotton socks and leave them to soak up all the goodness overnight, when I get up the next morning I remove the socks and my feet feel like a dream... sooo soft and smooth, perfect :)
It contains moisturising shea butter, lavender essential oil and anti-inflammatory arnica extract... it's described as a rich cream which smoothes and softens skin while relieving tired achy feet.
I'm a huge fan of L'Occitane hand creams so I knew this would work amazingly well, it's such a good brand and I recommend it to anyone looking for some lovely skin products especially those who have dry skin as they offer a wide range of thick lotions and potions.
You can purchase the travel size of this foot cream here for only £8.00.  The full sized version is £19.00 so you may as well just purchase the travel size to try out for now.

The other foot cream I swear by is this one from Soap&Glory called 'heel genius' and is a complete bargain at £5.50 for a 125ml tube... even better when the S&G stuff is on 3for2 in Boots ;)
Now this one is described as a soak in foot mask and to be used overnight which is exactly how I use it and also put on some cotton socks just like the L'Occitane one.  This is more of a gel consistency rather than a lotion/mask and soaks into the skin very well without leaving a greasy residue.  It's hard to describe the scent of it as it's such a unique smell, it's certainly doesn't smell of roses but it's bearable and it contains ingredients such as Macadamia oil, menthol, Bilberry, orange and lemon fruit acid smoothers.
You can buy this one from Boots here for just £5.50

I recommend the L'Occitane one for a more luxurious feel and for more moisture, the Soap&Glory one is perfect if you're on a budget and love quirky packaging.

PRIMARK SPRING COLLECTION GLUE-ON NAILS

I picked these sets of glue-on nails around a month ago from Primark and I think the designs are gorgeous and perfect for spring/summer.

I always pick up a couple of sets every time I pop into Primarni as they cost just £1 and they have the cutest designs.  The only thing I'm not too fond of is the length, I already have naturally quite long nails so always have to trim them down when I want to wear a set of these but obviously nails grow so it isn't too big of an issue.

They have tonnes more designs so make sure you check them out next time you pop in, I love the middle ones... the blue/purple colour will look AMAZING with a tan and they are matte so will look unique compared to your usual shiny nails.

QUICK FIX FACIALS ANTI-BLEMISH MUD MASK

I was desperate to find a new face mask which would help with my recent break outs and also wouldn't cost an arm and a leg (Glamglow I'm looking at you!) I went to my local Boots store and found this for around the £5 mark and it claims you can get 10 facials out of one tube which is a bargain.

The brand is quick fix facials which hasn't been around very long but I've heard some good things about their masks so knew I needed to try it out.  This one is specifically for problematic skin which is what I have... it helps excess oil, congested, blemish prone skin and has some well-known ingredients which are proven to help problem skin such as; dead sea mud, salicylic acid and tea-tree oil.
I've used this around 5 times now and I honestly think I could probably get another 20-25 uses out of it as there's so much product in the tube and you don't need to use loads.  It's not one of those very thick masks where it feels like you're rubbing cement on your face, it's more on the liquidy side and it's really easy to rub into the skin.  It's recommended that you use the mask 1-2x per week depending on how greasy your skin is and also to leave the mask on for 10 minutes but I leave it on for 10-15 minutes and remove it when it's totally dried up.
This mask will not give you perfect, clear skin after using it but it certainly helps with the oiliness and draws out impurities to help your skin clear up at it's own pace.  It makes your skin feel baby soft too and is great for the price it is, I don't think it's anywhere near as good as the Glamglow mask but that's out of my price range at the moment.

You can buy this face mask here and it's currently on offer in Boots for £3.33

ILLAMASQUA HAUL

These are my very first Illamasqua items which I hauled in January when they had an online sale so I'm a little late showing them to you all... the main reason for that is because I've barely used the foundations.  The Rich Liquid one is far too dark for me so I've put it in my kit to use on clients with darker skin than me and the Light Liquid one is just something I throw on when I'm in a hurry and wearing fake tan so haven't really tested it properly to see how long lasting it is etc.  I will review it once I've played with it a bit more and compare it to MACs Face&Body foundation.

However, the Cream Blusher is incredible!  It's in the shade 'Dixie' and is a gorgeous pink/coral shade which can be used lightly for a nice flush to the skin or you can add more layers to add more colour.
I tend to use this when my skin feels more on the 'dry' side as i'm naturally quite oily skinned and I also use it in my kit for clients with dry or mature skin.
You can see below just how much of a lovely shade it is, I think it would look amazing on those with a darker/olive complexion especially for the spring/summer.  It blends perfectly and you can add more layers to build up the intensity,
I only paid £7.50 for this blush in the January sale which is a total bargain considering it's normal price is £18.00.  I think this it's a stunning shade which will look good on most skin tones and the product itself is easily blend-able.

You can buy Dixie from Illamasqua here for £18.00

GARNIER EXPRESS 2 IN 1 EYE MAKEUP REMOVER

I've recently been on the hunt for a new eye makeup remover and come across this new one from Garnier when I was browsing around Boots.  I wanted something that was still gentle but good for removing heavy eye makeup (including waterproof mascara) so thought I'd buy this and try it out.
After not reading any reviews beforehand I assumed it would be good as I already own the original Garnier eye makeup remover (the one in the blue bottle) and it's fantastic, this on the other hand isn't too good...

It feels like I have to use 2-3 cotton pads on each eye to remove my mascara and any other eye makeup I have on... the original one in the blue bottle (totally forgot the name) I only need one cotton pad and it's removed perfectly.

Everytime I have used this before bedtime, I still wake up with panda eyes!

I certainly won't repurchase this and will stick to the original version which I hope they don't discontinue.  The only good thing about this is the cute packaging and the purple colour, other than that it's not worth buying at all.

BOBBYGLAM WRAP AROUND PONYTAIL

I was very excited when this arrived at my house a few weeks ago, it's the wrap around ponytail from Bobbyglam which was sent to me by Dirtylooks.com.  This is 'remy human hair' and I chose the shade Butterscotch as I knew I was getting highlights in my hair so wanted something to match my new hair colour and it's the PERFECT match!  Keep reading to find out more...
The pony comes in one length on the website which is shown as 18-20" and 65g in weight which I thought might be a little too short if you have naturally long hair like me, you could always trim it if you have shorter hair and add layers.  I must say, with my hair being a little longer than the pony, it blended in perfectly and still looked very natural.  It has a 'wrap around' bit which is handy for hiding any tell tail signs of wearing something fake in your hair and it has three little 'grips' which you can see in the picture below on the right which helps secure it in your natural hair, you then use the wrap around section and grip it to the velcro which keeps it perfectly in place so even if it's an extremely windy day your ponytail won't budge!
You can see below on the left that it's the perfect match for my newly highlighted hair, the middle picture is me WITHOUT the pony in (natural hair) then the picture on the right is me wearing the pony.  You can see it adds plenty thickness to your hair without being too fake looking.
I think this hair piece is perfect for days when you want to wear your hair up but want to add plenty of volume and thickness.  I'm very pleased with how perfect the colour match is and the fact it's not fake looking.  I did straighten it in these photos, it is human hair so you are allowed to use heat on it... i'm yet to try a curly look on it but can imagine it will look lovely and still natural.  There's far too many ponytail pieces out there that are synthetic and look too fake and shiny so this is definitely perfect if you want it to look like your real hair which I'm sure most of you will (who likes the fake shiny look anyway?).  As for the packaging, I think it looks very unique but in a good way and is handy to keep your pony stored away to prevent any tangles or damage to the piece.
So overall I'm very pleased with this, I have been wearing it quite a lot and now have my eye on other hair pieces on dirtylocks.com.

You can purchase the Bobbyglam wrap around ponytail here and it's currently on sale for £49.99*

JINNYLASH FEATHER LASHES

So I bought these JinnyLash lashes a year or maybe even two years ago and only just decided today that they needed to be used!  I remember when I first spotted them in Superdrug and knew I had to buy them... they are feather style lashes, amazing for doing some bold eye looks with.  They cost £5.99 which is quite expensive considering I get most of my lashes from ebay or cheaper places but I couldn't resist the style of them so purchased them there and then.

When I first tried them (round about the time when I'd just bought them) I didn't like how thin the bands were and found it quite difficult to apply without them bending all over so I put them back in the packaging and left them.  Since setting up my freelance makeup business I've had plenty of experience at applying different types of lashes on different eye shapes so I thought I'd give them another go as I now prefer thinner bands on false lashes because they are sooo much easier to apply...
Today I had nothing to do so decided to play with my makeup kit and came up with this very glam bridal/prom look using the JinnyLash lashes.  I love how they wing right out and create a bolder look even though I only used neutral shadow shades.  Eylure do a similar style to these but not as long (#162) which I also own (but still haven't been used ofcourse!) this style of lashes would look amazing for a special night out if you have very bold smokey eyes, they would be the finishing touch and add lot's of glamour.

You can purchase JinnyLash lashes from Superdrug.  Prices start from £5.99
