If you know me well then you will know just how much I love MAC!  I recently ordered some goodies online from the official website then on Sunday my boyfriend and I went to York for the day and paid a visit to the York Designer Outlet.  I'm not a huge fan of the outlet because it's mainly for men but I love visiting one store which is the Cosmetic Company Outlet (CCO) because it has tonnes of Estee Lauder brand products at discount prices.

So firstly we have the items I picked up at the CCO (got some pretty good bargains!), My boyfriend ended up treating me to these which was a lovely little surprise...
- Pro Longwear Lip Pencil (Shock Value)
- RiRi loves MAC Lipstick (Whos that Chick?)
- Lipglass (Impassioned)
- Pro Sculpting Cream (Pure Sculpture)
- Extra Dimension Skinfinish (Superb)

I've never really been interested in buying any of the Skinfinish highlighters (I love my Sleek highlighters way too much...) but since this was only £15 it was a complete bargain and looked so stunning shimmering in the light.  It's from the Extra Dimension collection from 2013 and will look amazing on medum/dark skin tones and can also be used as an eyeshadow.
I was swatching this Pro Sculpting Cream in the shade 'Pure Sculpture' and thought it would be amazing to contour with, I love cream products because I can set them with powder products and they last sooo much longer.  Looking forward to trying this out on myself and on clients.
Couldn't believe it when I saw this RiRi lipstick!  They only had this shade ('Who's that chick?') but I'm really pleased because it's unique and I don't have any other shade like it... the packaging is gorgeous too, I daren't even use it because it's so bloody nice.
My all time fave pink lipstick shade from MAC is Impassioned and when I seen the lipglass version I put it straight in my basket.  Impassioned is a stunning bright watermelon pink shade... I've repurchased the lipstick about 3 times and can't wait to try this lipglass over the top of it for extra shine.
This Pro Longwear Lip Pencil caught my eye as it's so bright, the shade is 'Shock Value' and it's a cool-toned bright barbie pink shade.  This would go perfect with MAC Candy Yum Yum Lipstick... you can see below swatches of this Lip Pencil and 'Impassioned' Lipglass...
I'm a big fan of these Lip Pencils as they are extremely long wearing and glide on effortlessly without dragging the lip.  Will definitely pick up more shades of these in the near future.

Then here we have the products I bought from MAC online, mainly kit essentials...
 - Mineralize Skinfinish Natural powders (Dark Deep & Medium Plus)
- Pro Longwear Paint Pot (Soft Ochre)
- #217 Blending Brush
- Studio Moisture Cream (Travel size)
This is my third #217 brush and it's the only MAC brush I'll ever repurchase for the simple fact that it blends out eyeshadow PERFECTLY... I've bought dupes of this brush from other brands but none of them compare.  This is definitely a kit essential for any makeup artist.
I needed a moisturiser for my clients with dry skin so chose the travel sized version of Studio Moisture Cream, at £10.00 it is pretty steep but I've heard brilliant things about it.  I own the travel sized Strobe Cream and it's lasted me months so I suppose they are worth the price as they do last.
MSF Natural is my fave luxury powder (Medium Dark is my go to shade) I wanted to get some other shades to use in my kit and also a darker shade that I can use for bronzer so I opted for Dark Deep and Medium Plus.  I love the new packaging too it's very sleek and I also love the fact that each compact comes with a mirror as they never had mirrors in the old compacts.
Last but not least, Soft Ochre Paint Pot.  I've wanted this for ages as it's the perfect eyeshadow base and counteracts any discolouration on the lid because of it's yellow undertone.  I've been using Too Faced Shadow Insurance for ages now just to use it up but I can't wait to start using this and will hopefully see a difference when blending shadows.

So that was my MAC haul for October, have you bought anything from MAC recently?...

Eylure have some amazing lashes, I remember when they brought out the Girls Aloud range years ago and I used to buy the Cheryl Cole lashes every time I went into Boots and wore them nearly everyday because I loved them that much!  Fast forward 5 years and these bad boys are my new faves... they're the new #141 lashes and kinda remind me of the MAC #35 lashes only less intense.

These lashes are perfect for that Kim K smokey eye look as she wears similar lashes herself for most looks.  They're very whispy and quite dramatic but I would still recommend wearing them even for day time as they really define the eye and make your makeup look perfect.  I love them that much I even bought a second pair so I can layer them up for a more intense look...
Even better, they're currently on offer in Superdrug for just £3.76 so go grab yourself a pair or two!

So I was in Boots yet again but this time I was at the Boots store in Teesside Park which is much bigger than the one in my hometown and carries more brands.  I noticed the Smashbox display and started swatching some of the products and then this little palette caught my eye... It's the Cherry Smoke Photo Op Eyeshadow Palette and has 8 beautiful shades (a mix of mattes and shimmers) and looks perfect for the Autumn season.  It is quite a hefty price at £32.00 for such a tiny little thing but I just knew I'd use it a lot so ended up buying it.  Yes it's quite a small palette but the colours are very wearable and extremely pigmented, the packaging is very sturdy and its the perfect size for travel and includes a decent sized mirror for on the go touch ups.

You can see below the palette in natural light then with the flash from the camera... I'll be honest, it was the shades 'Rustic' and 'Oxidize' that tempted me into buying this as they looked stunning and the shimmer of 'Oxidize' is so intense it was the first thing that caught my eye when looking at the palette.  'Rustic' is a rusty brown/burgundy shade and will be amazing as a transition shade in the crease when doing dark smokey eyes.

Aren't the shades just gorgeous?!  You can certainly get plenty of different looks out of this small palette and take a day look into night...
Below is a look I did when trying out the palette for the first time...  I wanted to use the 'rustic' shade so used it in the crease.  I used 'bare' to highlight the brow bone and inner corner of eyes which is a matte shade as I didn't want too much shimmer everywhere.  I then used Urban Decays 'buck' shadow as a transition shade just to blend out the crease more.  For the lid I used 'shell' which is a shimmery nude shade then under the lash line I used 'rustic' and 'oxidize' which really made my blue eyes POP!  I can't wait to try out the other shades and come up with some other looks...
Oh and on my lips is L'oreal's Collection Privee Cheryl Cole lipstick...a gorgeous pinky nude!

You can purchase the Cherry Smoke palette from Boots online here for £32.00

Maybelline is one of those brands I will go to if I need an emergency product and I'm unable to travel out of town to the bigger shops that sell high end makeup.  I've been using Maybelline since I was a young teen and I remember when I first started wearing makeup at school I wore this god awful liquid foundation which was very oily, a pink maybelline blush and then I started to wear their Matte Mousse when that came out... looking back now I just think 'what on earth was I thinking?!' but we all make mistakes when it comes to fashion and makeup, in 5 years time I'll probably look back on pictures from today and think the same thing.

Nowadays, the drugstore makeup brands are up to scratch and their formulas are top notch you sometimes can't even tell the difference between drugstore and high-end.   I was having a little look around Boots the other week, they had a 3for2 offer on Maybelline so I picked up the following goodies...
Color Drama lipstick pencil in the shade '210 Keep it classy'
I swatched a few shades on my hand and loved the look of this one, I did like the look of the coral and nude shades but they didn't have any fresh ones left (I bloody hate it when every single product of the shade you want has been tested!).  They are very creamy and opaque but give a matte finish on the lips, when I got home and tried it I realised it's a dupe of Macs 'Rebel' lipstick, it looked totally different when I swatched it in store... damn you lighting!
This would be fab as a base for Rebel so in a way I'm glad I did buy it... next on my list are the coral and nude shades.
Matte Maker Mattifying Powder in '02 Nude Beige'
So this product I picked up a few months ago, I needed a powder that I can just throw in my bag and not get worried about whether it gets smashed up or not... I usually get the Rimmel powder but this one looked more matte so thought I'd give it a go and I'm so glad I did!  It gives a flawless finish and absorbs oil really well, the shade is quite light so I tend to use it when I'm not too tanned so I think I'll get the next shade up next time.  Love it!
Go Colosal mascara in 'leather black'
After using the same L'oreal Telescopic mascara for around 6 months (URGHH I know...) I decided it was time for a new mascara.  I do LOVE the L'oreal Telescopic but I also like to give new ones a chance just to see if they're any good.  This one was on introductory offer (as well as the 3for2) and the leather black sounded cool.  It really separates lashes and gives them some volume whilst giving that glossy black look, I really like the brush on this.
Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Liner in 'black'
I was in desperate need of a new gel liner as my current one is pretty much drying up.  I've only ever tried MAC, Bobbi Brown and L'oreal for gel liners so decided to give this one a go after seeing the positive reviews online.  I've used it a couple of times already and it's absolutely BRILLIANT!  It's very black and dries quick, it's also very easy to work with and glides on like a dream.  I don't use the brush as I only like working with extremely thin liner brushes but it's handy to have as an emergency back up.

So that was my little Maybelline haul, let me know what your fave products are from the brand as I love hearing your recommendations...

I've had this brush set for months now but thought I would share it with you lot as it's such a lovely little set and an absolute bargain for the quality (Yes it looks a little bit dirty but I've used it tonnes because it's so fab!).
Crown is definitely one of my fave brush brands mainly because they are very affordable and will not break the bank... you can buy eye brushes for £2-£3 and they also do loads of different brush sets.  I decided to go with this HD set as it was only £29.99 and includes 6 brushes, a mixing palette and spatula (perfect for my kit), the black patent leather case that holds everything is very sleek and perfect for on the go too.
1.  Powder brush - extremely soft medium sized powder brush, perfect for applying powder to set makeup and bronzer.
2.  Foundation brush - this brush is perfect for applying foundation, I sometimes use it to blend cream blush as sometimes they can look a little harsh.
3.  Blush brush - I never use this for blush as it's very small so I use it to apply setting powder underneath the eyes to set concealer... It blends like a dream and isn't harsh for the under eye area.
4.  Blending crease brush - exactly what it says on the tin a brush for blending the crease... not as good as my trusty MAC 217 but it does the job.
5.  Oval Shadow brush - I use this to pack colour onto the lid, it's very soft and picks up the perfect amount of eyeshadow.
6.  Pointed liner - I don't bother using this as I tend to use my Real Techniques silicone liner brush but I know for a fact that it will come in handy one day for something...
Metal mixing palette and double ended spatula - I use this palette to mix different shades of foundation together and the spatula is fab for getting cream foundations out of their palette without using fingers.  Both of these come in very handy for my kit.

So there you have it, a lovely little bundle of joy for all you makeup lovers - You can buy the Crown HD brush set from their online store for just £29.99... go on treat yourself :)

After lusting over Kylie's makeup look for so long I decided to try out her infamous look on myself.  Kylie tends to wear quite a lot of makeup but it looks very toned down and neutral.  Apparently she uses Whirl lipliner by MAC to overdraw her lips but I don't own that shade so used my own lip concoction to create the fake lip/overdrawn look...

- Urban Decay Naked Skin Beauty Balm (to prime)
- MAC Studio Fix Fluid NC25
- Maybelline Instant Anti-Age Eraser Concealer in 'Light' (under eyes to highlight)
- Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder (to set concealer)
- NYX Matte Bronzer (to contour)
- Sleek highlighter (cheek bones)

- HD Brow powder
- Too Faced Shadow Insurance (to prime lids)
- Urban Decay eyeshadow in 'Naked' (crease)
- Makeup Geek eyeshadow in 'Frappe' (outer crease)
- Maybelline black gel liner (applied with pointed liner brush)
- Eylure lashes in '141'

- Front Cover nude lip liner (to overdraw lips)
