CAUDALÍE BEAUTY ELIXIR

This is another product i've seen plenty of raves about recently in the blogging world.  Caudalíe Beauty Elixir.

I purchased the 30ml size just to try out and also because of the bargain price of £11 which is great for a luxury skincare brand.  I ordered it from HQHair.com and it came within four working days.  I have ordered a few times off this website and the delivery is pretty slow so I think i'll try Feel Unique next time and hopefully their delivery service is much quicker.

So onto the product...
I have been using this for the past three weeks now and i'm pretty happy with it :)
I use it under my makeup as a toner (before applying my serum/moisturiser) and also spray it on top of my makeup to set it for the day.  I do notice the 'healthy glow' it's meant to give and gives the skin a fresh kinda dewy (but not in an oil-slick way) look.

I do have very oily skin and this little gem keeps my makeup on longer and even though it gives a dewy look, it still looks great.  The scent is very strong though but it doesn't bother me as the product itself does a fab job.  It's kinda like a strong menthol scent so if you're very fussy over strong scents in skincare then i'd give this a miss.

I think this will be perfect to take on holiday and it's a handy size to take on your flight so you can freshen up and give your skin a little moisture before touchdown...  I wont be repurchasing as it's not really something that I feel I need to use again but it was nice to try and did a good job

DR. JART BEAUTY BALM HYPE

After hearing so many good things about this Beauty Balm on numerous blogs, youtube videos etc.  I decided to treat myself.
It was Vivianna over at Viviannadoesmakeup who sucked me into buying this bad boy and i'm so glad she did!  She made it sound like the perfect product and also informed her readers on the special offer at Boots, £12 from £18 which is a great saving.   I was gonna buy it online but I hate paying postage prices so I headed down to my local Boots store and was hoping they would stock the Dr Jart products and I was buzzing with excitement when I stumbled across them, a very small selection on a small shelf.  I grabbed the last one but the price said £18 but I thought to myself oh well, i'll just treat myself and have a little splurge but when I got to the till it said £12 so made me even more happy :)

You get 50ml of product which is quite alot as you only need a tiny amount for your whole face, this will last a good while so you really do get your moneys worth whether you pay £12 or £18.
The packaging is really nice, a metallic turquoise colour tube which is pretty and comes in a box.
Now as for the shade, I did check the reviews on the Boots website before buying it and a few of the reviews mentioned how they were very fair skinned and it wasn't too dark for them?  Im quite confused by this because as a sunbed worshipper I do have a pretty nice tan and this shade is perfect and would also look good on olive skin tones but I can't see how this can work for fair skin girls?  Maybe it adapts to your skin tone I don't know but all I can say is, if you are a fair skinned gal and want to buy this product, I strongly suggest you try it out first.

It also contains SPF25 which is perfect for summer and also great for the warmer weather when you don't want to be wearing horrible thick foundations that melt in the heat.

Application:  i've used my fingers (clean ofcourse!) and it blends in nicely, it does have a slight grey cast to it, but once it's blended in and set after a couple of minutes, you can't tell you're wearing anything as it's so natural looking but makes your skin look even and smooth.  I also use this with my Real Techniques expert face brush which gives it a more 'airbrushed' finish.  I have also tried this underneath my foundation and helps the foundation look more 'fresh' and last abit longer throughout the day.

I would totally buy this product again once I have used it all up, it's worth every penny and I can see this tube lasting quite a long time.  This will be perfect for when I go to Vegas in June in the hot sunshine at the pool parties... it has my SPF25 for the day and also gives me some coverage.

RIMMEL APOCALIPS REVIEW

I bought these a couple weeks ago when they were on offer in Boots 3 for 2 on all Rimmel cosmetics.  I swatched the colours that looked the best and decided on these three beauties.
Luna, Stellar and Galaxy.
I picked Luna because I love a good creamy coral/nude and this one is very opaque.  Stellar is absolutly amazing, it's like the gloss version of MAC impassioned lipstick, very watermelon pink and blue undertones, this one is my fave.  Then I picked Galaxy as I thought it would be perfect on top of MAC Rebel lipstick as it's a gorgeous dark purple shade.  I did want to get the red one but I already own something similar and i'm trying to only buy things that I know i'll use up now...

The colours are very opaque and look amazing on.  They are long lasting and are perfect either on their own or over another product.  They are £5.99 which is quite reasonable and are still currently on offer for 3 for 2 at Boots so hurry!

GETTINGPERSONAL.CO.UK PURCHASE

I first heard about Getting Personal through one of my favourite bloggers, Kayleigh over at x-couturegirl-x.
She bought a journal from the website and added her name to it and made it her personal blogging book.  I thought this was such a good idea as I love jotting stuff down and I think having your name on it just makes it that extra little bit special.
The website itself is very easy to get around and has plenty of products you can personalise which is a fab idea if your stuck on what to buy someone as a gift.  Now the journals are quite expensive at £8.99 a pop, i've never bothered buying expensive stationary but the idea of having this personalised is worth the price in my opinion.  I had a look at each design and chose this cute, girly blue with pink and white hearts one.  Next I personalised it by typing out what I wanted on the front and back and I was done!  I then went onto their facebook page and messaged the company asking if they would kindly give me any special discount if I review their product on my blog... they replied very quickly and offered me a 15% off code which I was greatful for!  My total order including P&P came to £10.63 which is pretty decent.

I ordered this on the Thursday and it arrived very speedy on Saturday morning which I was so surprised by.  Very happy with the super fast standard delivery :)

The journal itself is gorgeous, I'm very happy with the design I chose and also the fact I put my blog address on the back.  It has blank pages inside which I do prefer because I love doodling and writing in different sizes so it's ideal for me and has 80 pages according to their website.

I will definitely purchase more products from this company in the near future and I recommend them highly as their customer service is excellent and the delivery was very speedy which is always a plus!

SOAP & GLORY SKINCARE

I recently decided it was time to up my skincare routine and find myself an anti-ageing cream and an eye cream as I feel like i'm getting to that age stage (23) where I need to start preventing those nasty wrinkles!

So in January I was looking around the Boots website and I love Soap & Glory products so decided I'd get something from their line as they had offers on pretty much all their skincare at the time I purchased these two items.  The first item was this Make Yourself Youthful super serum which I've been using nearly everyday for the past month under my makeup and applying some when I've washed my face on a morning even when not wearing makeup.  This comes in luxurious looking packaging and has 30ml of product.  On the Boots website, it's description is 'Treat and hydrate dry, lined skin with this boosted anti-wrinkle moisturising super-shot!' and 'Packed with potent plant peptides, this anti-wrinkle serum & moisturiser in one features actives at levels clinically proven to:- Trigger DNA repair- Hyper-boost collagen and cell respiration- Smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Suitable for all skin types - and ideal for drier skins with more pronounced lines, this super serum also contains super moisturisers with hyaluronic acid, plus organic coconut oil for suppleness & elasticity, and Maracuja Oil for a hit of brightening vitamin C. Boosted with oxygenating Actigen, the already powerful ingredients are made even more effective for visible results in 30 days.'
I have noticed my skin is much more smoother and firmer but as I don't have wrinkles I can't really say if it helps in that area.  I use one pump which is the perfect amount for my whole face but you can't tell how much product is left so i'm not sure how long this tube will last me.  It's a great primer for under makeup and it makes my foundation/bb cream glide on really nicely.  I paid £15 for this when it was on offer and it's normally £20.  I think I'd definitely re-purchase this serum again.

I then decided on this eye gel as it was also on offer for about £6, it's now back to £9 which I think is still pretty cheap.  It comes in a cute white tub and has 15ml of product which doesn't sound like alot but you only need the tiniest amount for the eye area so this will last quite a long time anyway.

The Boots website description of this gel is 'Uses Swiftlift™ technology for immediate skin tightening + heightening. Also includes fine-line fighting tripeptides, depuffing caffeine, pro-vitamin panthenol, & soothing aloe vera juice.' and also says it contains 'A Swiss Snake–Venom simulating age fighting Tripeptide complex – to help smooth fine lines and wrinkles by inhibiting the micro-contractions on the surface of the skin. A collagen-stimulating tripeptide to firm and regenerate'

Again, I don't have wrinkles so can't say whether or not helps get rid of them but it does feel nice and cooling with a little tingle effect, it's also nice to use before applying undereye concealer as it glides on nicely.  I would probably re-purchase this again as it's a decent price and can see it lasting for months.
Boots normally do good offers on Soap & Glory products and sometimes 3 for 2 so you are best off buying their products when the offers are on as you can save quite alot!

MOROCCANOIL

After hearing so many positive things about this little beauty I decided to finally take the plunge and buy one.  I ordered the 25ml version just to see if I will truely like it and see if it's worth buying a larger size, so I got this small version from here for £12.85 which is a total bargain considering you only need to use a tiny amount.

I have been using this for the past two weeks non stop and i'm totally in love!!!
You do get abit of a shock when you first see it as it's sooo small but in a cute way and I think the price I paid is well worth it.   You can use this on wet or dry hair and I have been using it on both, it really does help speed up drying time when you apply it on wet/damp hair.  When i've applied it on dry hair it's soaked in quickly and just totally smooths out my hair without weighing it down like some products can.  I use a pea sized amount and rub it in my hands then apply from the mid section of my hair down to the ends and i'm good to go.

The Moroccanoil website says this version helps revive hair, enhances shine, helps strengthen and condition and also helps with drying time.  You can get the 'light' version which is meant to be for blondes or for those with fine hair.  It's also alcohol free which is great because you know for certain it can't dry out your hair, it's just purely moisture.

The scent of this oil is to die for!  It's very sweet and rich kinda like chocolate but with a hint of vanilla and the consistancy is quite thick but it soaks into the hair effortlessly without weighing it down.  I can see this small sized bottle lasting me around 3-4 month which is great and I will certainly purchase the larger sized bottle no questions asked...

KARDASHIAN KOLOR

I purchased this little set around November last year and i'm so glad i did!  I had my eye on buying this for a while but always kept forgetting on pay day then finally remembered so ordered it from ASOS.com.
When the package came, I opened it and was VERY surprised by how small the polishes really are but for £12.50 for 4 shades is quite decent as it's a good brand.

I have used all shades and like them all.. My fave is 'Sealed with a kris' as it's a lush dark berry shade which looks classy on the nails.  'Kimpletely in love' is very sheer but has a gorgeous greenish sparkle to it that looks so pretty when it catches the light.  'All kendall-ed up' is a very opaque barbie pink and 'Wear something spar-kylie' looks fab on top of 'All kendall-ed up.'

You can see the true colours here apart from 'Sealed with a kris' (third one along) it looks quite light here but its a darker berry shade.  You can also see the greenish sparkles in 'Kimpletely in love' which is so unique.

JUICY COUTURE PERFUME - VIVA LA JUICY

This is my first Juicy perfume... and I love it!
I've been after a Juicy Couture perfume for a long time but never really got round to buying any of them.  A few weeks ago I was in my local Boots store and noticed the offer they had on which was buy any Juicy Couture perfume (50ml or above) and recieve a free cosmetics bag.  I had a sniff of each perfume and decided on Viva La Juicy but unfortunately the store had ran out of the bags so I decided to order it online which came to £46.
I think this scent is very girly and summery, it has notes of honeysuckle, wild berries, vanilla and caramel and the bottle is just AMAZING!
The cosmetics bag I got with it is also very cute and girly and would be ideal to shove in basic makeup products to take out with you during the day/night.

FAKE BAKE 60 MINUTE TAN

I purchased this bottle of Fake Bake 60 Minutes self tan before christmas when it was on offer for half price in Boots.  I've never tried any Fake Bake products before as I've always stuck to my cheap and cheerful St Moriz but thought it was time to splurge and see what all the hype was about...
I did want to try the Fake Bake Flawless one but they didn't have any in stock and this one looked like the next best thing plus it's one of their newer products.

So when I opened the box, it came with the tan itself, a re-useable tanning mitt which is really soft, a step-by-step application guide and a spray top nozzle.  You get 236ml of product which is a canny bit so it will last you quite a few applications which is fab.
I was actually going out for a night on the town the same day I tried it which I never do as I like my tan to develop overnight but this was a last minute decision and thought I would see if it actually gave me a gorgeous tan within an hour or two.
Application was a doddle, the tanning mitt is very soft and feels nice against your skin and also helps blend out the tan.  It does have a colour guide so you can see where you have put the tan which is always a plus.
I didn't even need to stand around naked for it to dry (St Moriz and other tans can feel abit sticky straight after application) so I was happy about this and shoved some pyjamas on just to sit and wait for it to develop.
I noticed myself getting much darker as time progressed and after 2 hours I was a gorgeous dark colour and decided to jump in the shower to wash the guide colour off so I could start getting ready for my night out.  I was left with a gorgeous natural looking yet dark tan and even got a compliment on it when I was in a bar.

I have since used it 1-2 times and I'm still very impressed with it but I have been using the sunbeds as I like having a natural tan that doesn't stain clothes or bed sheets (grrr!).
I'd certainly buy this product again but only if it's on offer again as I think £25-£30 is far too expensive for fake tan and I would reccomend it to anyone who wants a natural looking yet dark tan which has fuss free application and not messy.

The actual Fake Bake website describes this tan as:
'The longest lasting, most natural looking, ultimate fake tan just got even FASTER!
A revolutionary, express, self tan liquid which develops into a beautiful, natural looking tan in 60 minutes.  Easy to apply with our “shows where it goes” colour guide, the tanning agents - dihydroxyacetone and erythulose are activated upon contact with the skin. Accelerators speed up the development time and a golden glow can be achieved in an hour. To achieve an even darker tan, there’s no need to re-apply, simply leave 60 Minutes on longer then rinse off the colour guide to reveal the tan. We do not recommend leaving on any longer than three hours. This light weight, fast drying formula is non-sticky and does not clog the pores.'

I'd give this tan a big 9/10 as it does a great job but I think they should lower the price as i'm sure cheaper brands out there will try and compete with this 'fast action' tan.
