RIO TOTAL BODY WAXING

After seeing so many interesting products from the brand Rio Beauty over the years, I was excited when they kindly sent me this waxing kit and just couldn't wait to try it out.  I've only ever had my brows waxed so was keen to try waxing other parts of my body myself, this is a total body waxing kit so you're welcome to wax anywhere as it caters for all parts of the body.
You can see below what is included in the kit (comes with the heater too but forgot to add this in the picture!)  Basically, the 'hard wax' is used for more sensitive areas such as bikini and arm pit areas whilst the 'deluxe soft wax' is used for larger areas such as legs, arms and also perfect for brow waxing (my fave!)  The waxing strips are very soft and you get a huge bulk of them so they will last ages.
This is the soft wax heated up... this is my preferred wax out of the two options as I use it for my brows and will use it on clients when doing their brows.  I'm yet to try waxing my own legs but will do this in the summer when my legs will be due to be shown in public... using this on my brows is perfect though, it doesn't hurt at all and smooths onto the skin perfectly.
The hard wax I did have a go at but it's too painful for me.  I tried it on my bikini line and almost screamed!!!!  I then tried it on my arm pits and it was also very painful, I haven't touched it since.

Overall, I love the soft wax, the heater is perfect and very small too.  I will continue to use this handy little kit to wax my brows (saves a trip to the salon!) and will report back in the summer when it's time to wax the pins!  For the price you really can't go wrong, the full kit is only £39.99* and can be purchased from the Rio Beauty official website here.

If you do end up running out of any of the products provided in the kit, you can buy them separately on the website which is really handy.  They aren't even expensive so you can get smooth, hair-free skin in the comfort of your own home without having to fork out loads of money.

Have you tried waxing at home??

  2. I tried once but I found it painful. The strips I used were poor quality and hurt my skin. Lesson learned though. If I ever tried again I would probably go to a salon or buy a better quality kit.

    1. sorry you didn't get on with it!! I personally don't have a problem with the strips and have used them on clients & family and they love the result of their brows. The kit also has really good reviews on the rio website x
