I already own the hyped Beauty Blender which I bought in Sephora, Las Vegas earlier this year... I think its amazing so I picked this one to see how it compares so keep a look out for a review very soon!

I spotted these new lashes from Eylure and they were on offer 3 for 2 so couldn't really resist putting them in my basket.  They are number 155 and they look very natural but still perfect for evening makeup without being too dramatic, I will probably use these on clients when I start doing makeup over Christmas and New Year.

On my list for my freelance makeup kit I had on plum, navy and green eyeliners as I think these colours would come in handy for many clients and also perfect for adding colour on the lower lash line... this set was only £18.00 which is a bargain because you get the plum, navy, green, brown and black liners with three shadows.  The shadows aren't very pigments but they would be ok for less dramatic eye looks and they look like they'd fit perfect into MAC palettes.

The Nicola lashes have always been my fave from the Girls Aloud collection, they flick out perfect at the corners giving a very flirty look and they can be worn for day-time or night-time looks.

These haven't been out very long, I love the Maybelline color tattoo cream eyeshadows but I spotted these two beautiful colours from Bourjois, a very deep navy which would be perfect for clients with brown eyes and a shimmery silver which would be great for silver/black smokey eye looks as a base.

This was only £5.00 in Tesco... now if you haven't been living under a rock you'll know how popular the Skin Perfection Micellar Solution is with all the beauty bloggers.  For £5.00 you can't go wrong at all, the set includes a moisturiser for dry/sensitive skin too which will be perfect for clients with dry skin so I will keep it in my kit.  I checked out these separately in Tesco,  the Micellar Solution was around £4.00 and the moisturiser was nearly £5.00 so you really are getting a bargain with this set.

It's November tomorrow.... where has this year gone?!?!?!

in June 2013 I made a huge mistake... I got my brows threaded in Superdrug and I'm still angry as hell!

I'm angry because the woman threaded my brows so they looked like thin tadpoles, they didn't suit my face shape, she totally hacked my brows off and not just mine but my friends too!  I'm writing this post to warn others ... yes it may be cheap as chips at around the £5 mark and they look like they know what they're doing because the ladies who do them have thick brows so thats why I thought I could trust them.  I've had quite thick brows for around 8 years after growing them and shaping them myself and also with some help from HD Brows (which are fab!) It's now October and my brows have just about got back to the same thickness they were before I got them threaded.

I cringe everytime I see other women get their brows threaded in Superdrug now and have promised myself never to do that to my brows ever again.  I'm sure places like Fenwicks and other department stores which have threading bars will be more professional so I can't comment on those... from now on I'll stick to getting my brows HD'd a few times a year and keep them in shape myself.

Have you experienced the same as me??

So many raves lately about the very expensive products which claim to give big hair some costing more than £30.00 a pop... hmmm I don't think so!!  I picked up this little bad boy from the Lee Stafford range in Boots about a month ago and didn't really expect it to do much because it was only £6.99 but I got it on a 3 for 2 offer (bought two of the trusty Lee Stafford growth treatments along with this to try) seriously after trying it a few times, I honestly couldn't be more happy with this product as it does exactly what it says on the tin...

You just use this on towel dried hair, spraying directly onto the roots, you will feel a slight tingle sensation (this is just the boosting agents getting to work) comb through your hair then blow dry as normal and you're left with volumized, big hair like this...
I don't understand why people spend fortunes on hair products when you can find just as good products from cheaper ranges.  Everything I have ever tried from the Lee Stafford range has worked amazingly well and I love the smell of his products.  I love picking stuff up from his range when the 3 for 2 offer is on at Boots.  This will be repurchased once used up.. no questions asked!!

Have you tried anything from LEE STAFFORD? let me know...

The cold season is officially here and we're all trying to keep warm and snug.  When it's cold I love having hot bubble baths, lighting scented candles, chilling in my onesie and watching the TV or reading a good book.  I love the winter as everything is so Christmassy, the shops have tonnes of gorgeous gifts and it's the time of year when you can get out your fave gloves, hat and scarf and treat yourself to a new winter coat and maybe some boots ;)
Last night I had a lovely relaxing bubble bath and lit my very sweet Vanilla Lime Yankee Candle.  For the bubble bath, I used my Candy Cane by Philosophy which I bought last winter and the thing I love about the Philosophy bubble baths is you can use them as shampoo and shower gel as well as a bubble bath!  Yes they may be quite expensive at a steep £14.00 but remember its a 3-in-1 product, perfect for travelling.  I've used it as a shampoo on the odd occasion and it's safe to say that it works well, it lathers up nicely and cleans your hair leaving it with a gorgeous scent.
You also can't beat a lush hot chocolate in the colder season (a low calorie one of course!) and lots of warm dinners :) so cosy...

What are your fave things to do during the colder season?? leave a comment and let me know...

How gorgeous is this shade?!  It's an Essie nail polish in the shade Penny Talk and I bought this last year but decided to paint my nails using it today for a classy, glamorous look for autumn.

I used my trusty £1.00 Primark glue-ons and painted over them with only one coat of Penny Talk and it dried instantly.  Thats why I love this nail polish because it's great if you're in a rush as it dries in seconds, it must be because of the metallic finish.
Please excuse the glue on my fingers in the above picture... I'd only just glued my nails on and painted them but these nails are fab because they only cost £1.00 and last for about a week, they also have tonnes of different colours and ones with nail art on along with some pointy ones which I also love.  You could save a fortune using these, I know some girls spend about £40-£50 every 6 weeks on getting their nails done but these look so much nicer, look professional and if you buy £5.00 worth they will last you over a month.  Even better, if you get the nude coloured ones you can paint over them in your own nail polish ;)

Now I don't use all of these cleansers at the same time but like to switch up my cleansing routine just so my skin doesn't get used to the same product, I do have sensitive and very oily skin and these are the cleansers which work best for me without making me break out.  So in no particular order we have...

This smells like oranges and gently exfoliates skin without being too harsh as the silica microbeads tackle clogged pores.  It's gentle enough to use everyday and leaves skin feeling fresh.  It is quite expensive at £20.00 per tube but it's totally worth it in my opinion.

I use this one for removing heavy makeup as it melts off makeup and when it hits contact with water it turns into a cleansing milk.  You can read my full review on this product here

This is a purifying foaming gel cleanser made specially for oily/sensitive skin and is soap free.  I use this every morning and evening making sure I use a pea sized amount and mix it with warm water, lather it up and cleanse my skin with it.  I then rinse it off with warm water then do a final rinse with cold water.  My skin feels very clean and fresh after every use and the fact you only need a small amount is a bonus because this 200ml tube will last months!  If you have oily, sensitive skin like myself then this would be great for you, it's also good at eliminating excess sebum (oiliness).

I use this 2-3 times per week as recommended and it feels like it's getting rid of every last spec of dirt and leaves my skin looking glowy as if I've just had a really expensive facial in a salon.  It's not too gritty so doesn't feel harsh but it scrubs really well and has quite a strong citrus scent which can be quite uplifting especially on a morning.  I love using this before I apply fake tan to my face aswell to make sure my skin is prepped ready for the tan.

Having just recently got this cleanser, I've been using it none stop... It's so gentle!  It transforms into a foam when in contact with skin and provides a deep action cleanse to remove dirt, makeup, oil and impurities from your pores.  This cleanser is ideal for all skin types including those who have sensitive skin like myself, it contains chamomile and grape extract to calm and sooth any redness.  Perfect!

Just an idea on how to keep your hair extensions in top condition and stop them from getting tangled... grab any hanger with clips on, clip on your extensions then hang up somewhere safe
RESULT... tangle free extensions and doesn't cost a penny

Hello my lovely readers!  The weather is becoming very dull and wet here in the UK and there's nothing better than wearing some fake tan to make you have a nice healthy looking glow.  I gave this mousse tan a go from the brand Cocoa Brown by Marissa Carter after hearing so much about it recently I was excited to give it a try and see how it compares to my trusty Fake Bake 60 minute tan.
This tan has a similar concept to the Fake Bake 60 minute tan which retails for £24.95 (ouch!) I do buy it when it's on offer in Boots for around £16.00 but it's not on offer very often so I have to keep watching out for it as they don't sell it on the Boots website.  This Cocoa Brown 1 hour tan only costs £7.99* which is very affordable especially if you only want to try it out, you're hardly breaking the bank.
So  as you can see above I got the 1 Hour Tan, a sachet of the Tough Stuff scrub and the applicator mitt.  The mitt is high quality and has a 'water-resistant barrier' inside to stop your fingers and palms from getting stained which is a brilliant idea.. orange palms are a NO-NO!
Look how pretty the body scrub is... bubblegum pink!  I used this on dry skin and loved how it felt gritty but not too harsh getting rid of the layers of dead skin in preparation for the tan.  I rinsed this off in the shower after rubbing it in for a good 10 minutes and my skin was extremely soft like a babies bum :)  It smells like melon too which is one of my fave scents ever.
You can see here how thick the consistency of the mousse is, it feels thick when applying it to the skin but it rubs in with ease without feeling sticky like some tans can feel.  It doesn't have a strong smell so it's good for those who hate the nasty fake tan/biscuity smell and has a very light colour guide.  Most tans I have used have had a very dark colour guide and would look stupid if you went out in public but with this tan you could easily get away with going out straight after applying it as it's not that dark but still dark enough to see where you've put it on your skin if that makes sense?
In the above picture you can see how light the colour guide is, I have applied the tan on my right leg and you can see how pale I am by looking at my left leg.  After applying it all over my body and a teeny bit on my face, I was really pleased with how quickly it dried meaning I could put on some clothes straight away (loose clothing is what I recommend).
I left the tan on for just over 3 hours... you can rinse this off after just 1 hour if you're in a rush or want a very light sunkissed glow but I wasn't planning on going anywhere so left it on longer.  The colour guide started to deepen and after the 3 hours I rinsed the colour guide off in the shower and got out, dried myself with a dark towel using a patting motion and admired the gorgeous golden glow to my skin.
The colour isn't too dark and looks very natural, as if you've been on a weeks holiday in the sun.  If I left my Fake Bake 60minute tan on for 3 hours I would be extremely dark and look like I'd been on a 2 week holiday in the Bahamas or somewhere so this is a much lighter version and would be perfect for those who have a pale complexion.
I don't think this tan would be too good for those with darker skin tones as it wouldn't show up very well but is perfect for lighter skin tones and is great for the colder season when you just want a normal looking tan without it being too over the top.  I'll be using this a lot throughout the winter season and will leave my Fake Bake one to the warmer months for a deeper looking tan.

You can buy this range in Primark and online at

*After hearing a few good things about Nanshy on twitter recently, I couldn't wait to try some of their makeup brushes for myself.  I got sent the eye brush set last week which includes 7 brushes and are all excellent quality.

Why choose Nanshy?
Luxury and affordable
Customer orientated
Modern design
Created with your ideas
Cruelty free (vegan) PETA approved!
High quality products
Antibacterial synthetic material
Available worldwide

Eye Brush Set includes:
Precise bent eyeliner brush
Angled detailer brush
Flat definer brush
Tapered crease brush
Eye crease brush
Blending eyeshadow brush
Large shader brush

Overall I'm totally impressed with these brushes, the bent eyeliner brush is perfect for applying gel liners and is quite dense.  The blending brush is really good for blending shadows effortlessly and I really like the large shader brush for packing on pigmented shadows.  Nanshy offer a wide range of brushes and tools so you're bound to find something... This particular eye brush set is £29.95* which is a complete bargain as you'll probably pay that amount for 2 MAC eye brushes which are similar quality.  I want to buy some of the face brushes as they look good too, you can buy products from this brand from Ebay, Amazon and directly from this website

Have you tried brushes from this brand?

How bloody amazing are these?!  These are perfect for sticking on and making your toes look like you've just had a pedicure in a salon which can cost anywhere from £20-£30 where I live.  This set from Impress cost me about £7 in Boots.  It says you can wear them for up to 7 days but I had these on for nearly 3 weeks!  These will be perfect for when you go on holiday in the summer and want to have pretty toes and will be great for special occasions when you want to wear peep toe shoes.  They don't require glue as they just stick straight on, I wasn't expecting them to last a week but the sticky bit was really strong and I was really 'impress'ed (haha see what I did) with how long they lasted.

You can buy these in Boots, I couldn't find them on the website but I'm sure you can also get them in Superdrug too.

Have you tried these?  Let me know!

This is going to be quite a lengthy post, you've probably noticed that I'm not normally one for posting huge reviews but this is really worth it and I'm so happy to have been given the opportunity to try out this program...  CelebritySlim* is a simple, flexible meal replacement program that can help anyone manage their weight, get slim and even better stay that way!

You certainly don't need to be a celebrity to benefit from this programme and best of all, you can choose how to lose.  Each day you replace 2 meals from a variety of CelebritySlim shakes, soups or bars, you then eat 1 'normal' balanced meal which you plan yourself and you're able to snack on plenty of 'allowable' snacks.  Below you can see a typical day on the CelebritySlim program, eating little but often throughout the day boosts up your metabolism and helps with weight loss.

"The CelebritySlim program is designed to help you reach your target weight and stay at that weight.  To succeed, you need to stick to the program but it's worth the effort to look and feel fantastic."

How does it work?
Basically, this program works by boosting your metabolism to burn more calories.  This is achieved by restricting carbohydrates and overall energy in your diet and eating 5-6 smaller meals throughout the day (including snacks) rather than the traditional 2-3 larger meals.

Why we should eat smaller meals more often
When you 'starve' yourself for maybe 5-6 hours, a number of physiological changes occur in your body.  After around 3 hours without eating your blood sugars begin to drop and will cause you to feel quite hungry, if you have a meal at this point your rampant appetite means you risk overeating.  You may also find that you crave something sweet or starchy (guilty of this!) that's your body looking for carbohydrates as a quick fix to restore it's blood sugar balance.  If you don't eat anything and continue to fast, your metabolism starts to lapse into what's called 'starvation mode.'  Your hunger pains may go away but this is a sign your metabolism is starting to slow down as your body starts to conserve energ and this is the opposite of what you want!  When your bodyconserves energy fat burning slows down, making weight loss more difficult.
If after hours of fasting you now decide to eat, your metabolism will quickly swing into high gear as it senses food is now available.  Straight away your appetite comes back as your metabolism wants to encourage you to stock up on food as much as you can eat to compensate for the probable next starvation period!  This is why we must eat every few hours which means 5-6 meals spaced out during each day... by eating regularly, your blood sugars remain stable which means you don't feel 'hungry' and your metabolism stays active so you won't overeat at each meal. Phewwww! that was long...

What products I used
The 7 day starter pack which includes; program guide, food diary, a shaker, two different flavoured soups (roast chicken and garden veg) and 14 shakes in the flavours; chocolate, banana, strawberry, vanilla, caramel and cafe latte
I also got a summer fruit smoothie (meal replacement) to try which was really yummy, some snack bars and meal replacement bars which covered me for 10 days.

The diary you get in the starter pack is brilliant to help keep you on track as you have to write down your meals/snacks, any exercise you did that day and how you feel which is great to help you to stay motivated.

The first few days were quite challenging but I pushed myself and stuck to it...  by day 4 I felt like my body was getting used to my new way of eating and I didn't feel 'starved' at any point during the day, the thought of eating a greasy takeaway or McDonalds makes me want to vomit.  After a week of being on the plan, my body was pretty must used to my new way of eating and I didn't feel bloated at any point which is an amazing feeling considering I'm usually one for eating larger portions and feeling bloated afterwards.  My skin looks loads better due to eating fruit everyday and drinking more water than usual.

What I ate for dinner
Salmon fillet with steamed veg (carrots, broccoli, cauliflour)
Chicken breast with salad and a dollop of light french dressing
Tuna with salad and a dollop of extra light mayonnaise so it's not too dry
Turkey breast with steamed veg and gravy (bisto gravy granules) and a teaspoon of mint sauce
Ham salad with 1 boiled egg and a dollop of extra light mayonnaise

Snacks I had
Celebrity Slim snack bars (sticky toffee and cranberry)
Small piece of fruit (orange, apple, pear)
A handfull of nuts (almonds mostly) Almonds are the most nutrient-dense tree nut.  They are an excellent source of vitamin B, E, magnesium, folic acid, protein and fiber - They are also packed full of extremely good fats.
1/2 grapefruit
Celery sticks and 30g of peanut butter

Overall thoughts
I feel that I have learnt alot on this program and everything tastes good,  I have done other weight loss programs and nothing has been as good as this.  Weight Watchers was ok but I felt stupid counting all these points and trying to work out how many points is in what and it was hard to keep on track.  I've tried slimming pills which is a big NO-NO!  I've tried eating one meal a day and that totally didn't work but this has really taught me how to eat properly and to control portion sizes.  Yes I know it's common sense but before this program I thought eating 5-6 small meals a day meant actual meals not including snacks but now that I'm more educated on how to eat I've noticed that I'm more energised throughout the day and my stomach feels so much flatter as it isn't 'expanded' due to eating larger meals.
I love the shakes because they taste like actual milkshakes and full of flavour, my faves being Vanilla, Banana and Caramel.  The soups I tried (roast chicken and garden vegetable) both tasted thick and creamy, these would be perfect to take to work especially in the colder season to warm you right up.  The only thing I didn't feel fussy on was the meal replacement bar in the flavour 'mint choc' it was really sickly after a few bites but if you love anything that tastes like mint chocolate chip then you may enjoy it.

By doing this program, doing Bodypump classes and using Jillian Michaels DVDs I have lost in total 5lb which doesn't sound like a whole lot but I have lost 9inches overall on my body in only 6 weeks bare in mind I only introduced CelebritySlim half way through my challenge.  I can't wait for payday so I can buy more products, I wanna try it for the whole 8 weeks this time and hopefully I'll have my dream body! :)  I'd honestly recommend this program to anyone wanting to get a better of understanding of how they should eat and learn to control portion size easily with tasty shakes and snacks.
See my before and after photos in this post here

You can buy CelebritySlim here, in Boots, Superdrug, Rowland Pharmacy, The Co-op or Lloyds Pharmacy.

If you don't know already, Farmaline is an online pharmacy based in Belgium but deliver to the UK and other European countries.  I have previously ordered from Farmaline in the past, I remember ordering a couple of the La Roche-Posay Serozinc as they don't sell them in shops in the UK and this website was recommended to me by someone on twitter earlier this year.  The speed of the delivery was brilliant even though I only chose standard and everything was neatly packaged.  The website has a large range of skin and health products and well-known brands such as Vichy, Caudalie, Bioderma, Avene and plenty more...
I was sent these last week and couldn't be happier with what was in the package :)  I have already used the Caudalie cleanser* and so far so good!  After eying up Vichy in Boots whenever I've been in there, I've never really bothered buying anything but so glad I can try a couple of their items in the Vichy thermal spa gift set*

Visit the Farmaline website here and check out their fab range of high-end skincare

Have you ordered from this website before?

I was kindly sent these a couple of weeks back from the lovely people at Nailene and couldn't wait to try them out.  I got sent the Nailene So Natural Oval Glue-Ons* which are perfect for those who want natural/clean looking nails that look like they've just been done in a salon.  The oval shape is very classy and they fit onto the nail perfectly as they are flexible so can bend to fit the curve of your nail without any hassle.  I had these nails on for a week without any of them falling off, the nail glue is very strong and I prefer the oval shapes as you can pick things up easier and they seem to last longer.  There was also a mini tube of hologram type glitter which I will be using over the Christmas season, it's extremely glittery!
Next up is the Fing'rs Edge Ombre Nails* set which includes 5 mini nail polishes in all shades of pink so you can create the ombre effect.  You also get a small sponge which you apply the nail polish on then transfer onto your nail as seen on the instructions below...
I also got sent the Fing'rs Edge Heavy Metal Nail Art* kit which includes a mini black nail polish, some gold foil, gold studs in square and round shapes that easily peel off and stick to your nail.
I've never really used black nail polish before so that's why it looks a little messy but I think I made a decent job for my first try!

You can buy Nailene at Boots, Asda, Tesco, Superdrug and many other places.  Fing'rs can be found in Asda.

Have you tried these??

So as you may know, I have recently been working out a lot and eating more healthy.  I've been using Jillian Michaels ripped in 30 DVD and doing the CelebritySlim program to help shift some weight. You can see in the pictures above just how much of a difference these things have made, the top pictures are of me before doing this exercise and slimming program, the middle pictures are after two weeks and the last ones are after a month.  I feel so much more confident and can fit into smaller sized clothes... I don't feel depressed about my weight anymore and I enjoy working out and keeping my body in shape.  I will be doing a post on the CelebritySlim program in the next couple of days to tell you more about it and how it's helped me slim down.

I haven't lost much weight as it shows I've only lost 5lbs on my scales but with all this working out, my muscles will weigh more than fat (obviously) so I'm not really one of these people who goes buy the numbers on scales... I prefer to go by how my clothes fit and how I feel.  Have I got 'ripped in 30'? no I wouldn't say ripped but I've definitely lost weight, my belly is flatter, my arms are nice and toned and my thighs have got smaller.

My gorgeous bikini in my final pictures is from a brand called Pretty Pink Princess and you can see their full range on their website here.  This particular bikini is called Pretty Pyrus Sparkles* and has a super girly crystallised bow on the top.  Follow Pretty Pink Princess on twitter :)
